William Woods Faced Tough Conference Road Test Against William Penn

Both the men’s and women’s team of William Woods knew going in that facing off against their Conference opponent William Penn would be a tough order to come out with a team victory.  The William Penn women’s team is currently ranked 6th in the country at the NAIA level.  Whereas the William Penn men’s team, while not currently in the top 25, have been receiving votes in the most recent polls and currently sitting just outside of that mark.  

Starting of the evening was the women’s dual.  The Lady Owls gave up forfeits to three of the weight classes, including the two lowest weights, and this was a hole the Lady Owls could not dig themselves out of on this particular night.  In fact, their lone win was at the 207 lbs. weight class. Freshman, Brumley would take just 38 seconds to pin her opponent from William Penn.  The final score was William Penn 40 and William Woods 5.  

The story of the men’s dual was similar to the women’s in that the Owls gave
