Missouriwrestling.com has been covering wrestling in Missouri since 2000. We’re looking for new contributors across the state, especially in girls wrestling, youth wrestling, and regional coverage.

You don’t need a journalism degree. You need to be close to the action, know the kids, and care about getting the story right.

What we’re looking for

Writers who are already at the matches. Coaches, parents, fans, former wrestlers. People who can turn around a recap, a preview, a feature, or a spotlight without needing to be told what’s worth covering. You see the storyline, you write it up, you send it over.

We want your voice, not a chatbot’s. Write it like you’d tell it to another wrestling parent in the stands. If it sounds like a real person wrote it, you’re on the right track.

Every article needs at least one photo. Phone quality is fine. Get the athlete’s face and their name.

What we cover

High school boys and girls, youth, club, freestyle, folkstyle, college commits, coaching hires, program launches, tournament recaps, athlete features. If it’s happening on a mat in Missouri, it belongs here.

What you get

Your byline on the most established wrestling site in Missouri. Paid per article. Press credentials for major events when available.

Interested?

Fill out the form below. Tell us your name, where you’re at in Missouri, your connection to wrestling, and what you’d want to cover. Keep it short. We’ll be in touch.
