Missouri Wrestling
Drury Wrestling sent a small group of 8 wrestlers to Poteau, Oklahoma over the weekend to wrestle in the Viking Open. The tournament is hosted by Carl Albert University and contained 224 wrestlers from 16 different teams.
Top performers of the day were Connor Zimmermann who went 4-2 and finished in the top six, and Jeremiah Halter who wrestled unattached and went 3-2 with a major decision on his way to a 4th place finish.
This week the Panthers will travel to the Lindenwood Open for the largest one-day tournament in the country on Saturnday, November 19th. The tournament often contains 450 wrestlers from programs across NCAA DI, DII, DII, NAIA, NJCAA and NCWA. The Lindenwood Open is also split into two divisions containing a Black (Freshman, Sophomore) and a Gold (Open) division.
