Rundown: Class 3 District 4

Class 3 District 4 – the heart of the west side of the state in Class 3 wrestling. C3D4 accounted for 27 state medalists of the 84 total medalists, equaling 32% of medalists.

This year’s Class 3 District 4 teams include Belton, Capital City, East (Kansas City), Grain Valley, Grandview, Kearney, Lincoln College Prep, Platte County, Raytown South, Ruskin, Smithville, Van Horn, Warrensburg, William Chrisman, Winnetonka.

Let’s get a quick run-down of these teams for the week of December 7-12. A bulk of C3D4 teams will meet up this weekend at the Coffman Invitational at Truman High School in Independence, Missouri.

Belton

One of the new teams in C3D4 this year. Belton had a successful week knocking off a tough Class 4 team Blue Springs 39-33. Under Head Coach Jeremy Baker (former Blue Springs wrestler and assistant coach) the Pirates came away with six pins and a total of 21 takedowns and only being taken down 10 times.
