Lindbergh took their young, rebuilding team into Parkway South; inexperience showed on both sides

The Lindbergh Flyers took their young, rebuilding team into Parkway South and the inexperience showed on both sides of the varsity duel. Parkway South had a full lineup headlined by senior captain Max Rinklin who took care of business at 182 with a fall over Lindbergh senior, Brayden Kenner.

Lindbergh gave up a forfeit not being able to fill the hole at 106 and started the duel down 6-0 from the start. One of the key moments in the duel was when Lindbergh senior Skyler Akers made his debut as a Lindbergh Flyer at 126 by getting a fall after getting to a score of 10-1 in the first period.

A key moment in the duel was when Lindbergh sophomore Matt Mengis was able to fight off his back twice and hold his opponent to a major decision in the 220-pound weight class. This was the only match which did not end with a pin and set up Lindbergh’s sophomore heavyweight, Matt Ludwig to go out and get a fall in the final match of the night which won the duel for the Flyers.
