Kuster Ranked #4 Preseason

The season is officially here!

The National Wrestling Coaches Association released it’s NCAA DII Preseason Rankings.

The rankings are organized and voted on by coaches from each of the six super regions in NCAA DII Wrestling.

Peter Kuster starts his season ranked #4 at 141 pounds for the Panthers. Kuster is a returning All-American at the weight class that placed 7th at the 2022 NCAA DII National Championships this past March. He returns for his final season as a senior and continue to lead the Drury squad.

Peter is also tabbed #1 in the NCAA DII Super Region IV rankings at 141 lbs. The Panthers are currently ranked 5th as a team in the DII Super Regional with 9 wrestlers picked to place in the top 6 in the region.

Returning starter Caden Howard starts the season with a #6 ranking in the Super Regional. Brandon Borlinghaus is currently ranked 3rd in Super Regional IV at 133. Sophomore, Trevor Christian is ranked 5th in the region at 149 lbs. Returning Super Regional placer, Sam Schultz, is ranked 3rd at 157 lbs. Will Kuster will start the season at 5th in the Super Regional Ranking. Returner Ethan Smith, Freshman B.K. Seago and returner Thomas Massengale will slide in the Regional Rankings at #6 in their perspective weight classes.
