Jason Guyton inducted into Howard University Hall of Fame

Congrats to Jason Guyton, Hazelwood East grad, for being inducted into the Howard University Athletic Hall of Fame.


Jason was a 3x state placer, 2x state finalist and was an undefeated State Champion as a senior at Hazelwood East.

Jason was a 3x NCAA D1 Eastern Regional Finalist and became the first freshman in the history of Howard University wrestling to qualify for the NCAA D1 National Championship (1995) and was a NCAA National Championship qualifier again in 1997.

Jason was the HBCU MEAC conference champion in its last year (Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Tourney), and was named Howard University Male Athlete of the Year (1995). After college, Jason went on to serve in the U.S. Army for 12 years.

He then moved into the Huntsville, Alabama area in 2017 where he started Guyton Wrestling that trains wrestlers in the north Alabama area.
