Missouri Wrestling fans: You have officially been put on notice about Jackson’s wrestling team. With a 14th place finish at the 2019 Missouri State Championships, the Indians are looking to take home a team trophy this season.

Jackson traveled to Springfield for the 52nd annual Kinloch Classic and came back home with the team title. 2nd place was 117 points behind, Ray-Pec and 3rd place in the team race was Helias.

Jackson went 4 for 4 in the finals starting off with Garner Horman at 152 where he defeated returning 4th place state finisher Kanen Huff, Ray-Pec, 6-0. Garner is currently undefeated this season with a 13-0 record.

106

Wyatt George (Republic) 21-1, Jr. over Ryan Meek (St. Clair) 25-4, Fr. (Dec 2-0)

What a great finals match this was. George, who isn’t currently ranked (who should be) came away with a 2-0 squeaker over freshman Ryan Meek. George, who placed 6th last year at state, the lone loss came at the finals of the Harrisonville Christmas Tournament against Seneca’s Brady Roark.
