Howell Central vs Lafayette Recap

Francis Howell Central hosted Lafayette (Wildwood) in an early season meeting of Top 10 Ranked Missouri Teams. Lafayette (Wildwood) came into Howell Central ranked #10 in Class 4 while Howell Central is ranked #5 in Class 4. Lafayette left Howell Central as the Victor.

The crowd was enormous as both teams brought tons of wrestlers and fans with them. The noise was nonstop all night long and the spectators were hanging on each move and point scored. Howell Central Freshman Chase Grey would start the winning off with his first High School win against fellow Freshmen Calum Brown (5-2).

The Lancers would go on a 4-match winning streak after the initial loss at 106. Howell Central had a huge hole to dig out of but they also have the wrestlers to do it…Normally.

However, tonight they were missing 2 big pieces from the lineup, Peyton Shepard-126 (illness) and Aidan Hernandez-165 (thumb surgery). Even with these 2 State Medalists out of the lineup, the Dual was close at the end.
