Homfeld, Akers lead Lindbergh’s contingent of returning state qualifiers

By: Ross Martin

In some ways, the 18th-place team finish for Lindbergh in last season’s Class 4 Missouri State Wrestling Championships ended up a disappointment. The Flyers were built with a strong senior class and plenty of talent in the classes below but yet dropped four spots from the previous season.

Lindbergh will again have a strong core but will also miss the contributions of three graduated seniors. Gone from the recent successful teams will be three-time state qualifier Andrew Javier and Dawson Javier, who placed fifth at 152 a year ago. In addition, Micah Feliciano was a qualifier at 170 as a senior.
