Drury Wrestling – 3rd Annual Drury Open

Drury hosted the 3^rd Annual Drury Open this past Saturday in Weiser and Mabee gyms. The tournament featured wrestlers from NCAA DI, DII, NAIA and JUCO schools and ranked wrestlers at every weight class. The Panthers came away with two champions and five placers overall. Redshirt Junior Ben Stahlman and Sophomore Peter Kuster both won their respective weight classes while Junior Seth Otis, Sophomore Charley Genisio, and Freshman Ethan Smith all placed in the top six in their weight classes.

Drury Wrestling with now travel to Indianapolis, Indiana for the Midwest Classic on December 14^th & 15^th.  The Midwest classic is the largest NCAA Division II tournament in the country with numerous ranked wrestlers at each weight class. This tournament is a varsity level tournament with the top wrestlers at each weight class representing and scoring points for their school in a team points race. In the 2018 Midwest Classic Blake Clevenger and Jared Rennick both claimed tournament titles as Drury place 12 as a team with 55.5 points.
