The Kearney dynasty continues.
The Bulldog girls wrestling team had two wrestlers win state championships and four others get state medals by placing in the top six of their weight class Thursday at the Class 1 Missouri State High School Wrestling Championships at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. They won their fourth straight state title after scoring 130.5 team points.
Ste. Genevieve finished second with 111 points, Odessa was third with 66 and St. Charles West was fourth with 64.
Zolah Williams and Carli Vargas captured individual titles and Mya Woolridge (second place), Riley Walker (fifth), Aida Appenfeller (fifth) and Isabella Wentzel (fourth) each won state medals for Kearney.

100: Ste. Genevieve freshman Lexi Wolk made a big imprint in her first high school season as she improved to 46-2 following a 15-3 major decision win over Blair Oaks sophomore Macie Kempker.

105: Freshman Zolah Williams entered her first season as an already elite wrestler as she witnessed a ton of success at the youth level. She showed she will be a force for the next three years at the high school level as she took a 9-0 major decision against Festus senior Addison Cupp to earn her spot at the top of the podium.

110: Brookfield senior Jayden Keller had a stranglehold in her weight class in Missouri every season. She did once again this season as she won her fourth state championship following a 10-1 major decision vs. Kearney sophomore Mya Woolridge.
