The NHSCA Folkstyle National Championships are going down this weekend at Virginia Beach, Virginia with over 50 Missouri wrestlers making the trip east this weekend. 52 Missouri wrestlers total will be battling it out against nationally ranked wrestlers from around the USA making this one of the largest amount of Missouri wrestlers making the journey east since the NHSCA has been happening. Wrestling will start Friday morning and conclude with the finals matches Sunday afternoon making this a 3 day event. Each event is divided up by grade for the high school boys, senior, junior, sophomore, and freshman tournaments. The womens tournament will be from 9th grade thur senior class. Middle School will be 7th and 8th grade.
Missouri has 16 seeded wrestlers with 3-#1 seeds in Carter Brown in the Sophomore division, Hank Benter in the Junior division, and Devan Parn in the Junior Division. Kailey Benson did get #2 seed. Kyler Kuhn and Rylan Kuhn got #3 seeds.
