When people think of State Championships, they’re usually thinking about high schoolers. However, when you have more than a half-dozen women’s college programs in your own state, you create your own tournament to determine who’s the best of the best in the State of Missouri.
The Westminster Lady Jays brought six to the Missouri Baptist University Gym and got things started with a some very well wrestled matches and everyone won their first round matchups to advance in their respective brackets to the semi-finals. It would a tough test for the Lady Jays as they all suffered losses and were sent to the consolation side of the brackets. Five out of the six ladies rebounded well in the consolation semis to earn spots in the 3rd/4th place matches in their weight classes.
Below are the individual match results and their overall placements in the tournament.
