The Tigers have another addition to the class of 2026 with Everett Joyce. Originally a top 100 Class of 2027 commit, he is reclassifying to 2026 and joining early. Joyce is a two-time Kansas State champ while leading Maize High School to their first team title. He was 77-1 over his last two seasons and bonused his way to his second title at 190lbs.

Coming off a 6th place Fargo finish and runner-up performance at NHSCA’s, Joyce has jumped in the rankings. The #88 overall recruit for 2027, he is currently #8 at 190lbs. He projects as a 184/197 and will be an excellent pairing with fellow upperweight Aiden Cooley at 197.

It sounds like reclassifying could be related to age, as it kicks in when athletes turn 19. On the other end, it is looking like Brady Collins will take a grayshirt and keep his eligibility. He is on the younger end so he will get a chance to train for a season then come in with five years. With five for five that adds depth and strength to Mizzou’s upperweights behind strong veterans at those weights. This brings the Tigers 2026 class to eight recruits plus Collins grayshirting total to fill a strong class with a balance of upper and lower weights.

2026 Recruits:

  • #70 Aiden Cooley
  • #104 Yandel Morales
  • #162 Trey Craig
  • #186 Demetrios Carrera
  • #193 Curtis Borge
  • #198 Brady Collins
  • #227 Jason Hampton
  • UR Will Pfeifer
  • #88 (2027) Everett Joyce
