2020-2021 Outlook
Keys to success in the 2020-21 season:
Keys to success:
Hitting quality moves and being comfortable in all positions.
Keeping the competition high in the practice room.
Staying healthy
Maintaining a strong and positive mindset throughout the season
Concerns about the lineup or challenges for the team this season:
Making sure our best wrestlers all find a weight class may be a challenge this season. We have the numbers to fill each weight class, however, we have some quality wrestlers that find themselves near each other in weight. Another challenge will be navigating through all of the craziness of the 2020/2021 season and maintaining a strong and positive mindset throughout whatever happens.
Please list any impact freshman or transfers
Senior Newcomer – Alliyah Joiner
Junior Newcomer – Josselynn Yates, Kianna Massie
Sophmore Newcomer – Macie James
Freshman – Carlee Cardoza, Emily Croy, Camryn Elliott, Trinity Lesser, Ariaha Mcillwain, Emma Snyder, Lexi Spradling, Taylor Spriggs, Izzy Whitlock
How will the newcomers/transfers help?
Alliyah Joiner(115/120), Josselyn Yates(115/120), Taylor Spriggs (103), and Camryn Elliott (125) are four very athletic newcomers that will help fill the lower weight classes that have previously been our weak spots and we are excited about their potential.
Kianna Massic (166), Macie James (152), Carlee Cardoza (142) Trinity Lesser (166), Emily Croy (130), Ariaha Mcillwain (135), Emma Snyder (142), Lexi Spradling(152) and Izzy Whitlock(152) are all girls that will help with our middle weight classes and will be competing for varsity spots.
Coach’s quote on overall thoughts about the team:
“I believe we have the most athletic and dynamic lineup we have ever had. What our girls lack in experience they make up with work ethic and competitiveness and I am excited about our potential this season.
