Recruit Spotlight: Ryan Meek, St. Clair / Ohio University

With the growing success of high school wrestling in Missouri, I’m going to start highlighting every senior wrestler currently committed to a Division I school. With only two Division I schools in the state, more and more talent is spread across the country.

Ryan Meek won back-to-back state titles at 113 and 120 for St. Clair High School. He also placed 4th and 3rd at 106 in his first two years.

A career record of 179-8, Meek has college experience already. He competed at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open this year at 125, going 0-3 but getting valuable experience. 

Meek is committed to Ohio University, a MAC team who just graduated the Hagan twins from Eureka High School. Ohio competes in the MAC and went 4-10 in duals last year…
