All Time Record vs: 0-0
Mizzou faces the home team, Utah Valley, in their first ever dual as conference opponents. Utah Valley has some highly ranked wrestlers and should challenge Mizzou in those matches. UVU hasn’t wrestled since January 2 themselves, so they may look a little flat after such a long break similar to how Mizzou did. They’ll dual after both teams have faced Wyoming earlier in the night. After Mizzou had a tough dual loss last week, they’ll need to step it up and wrestle at altitude to get out without more upsets.
133lbs: Trey Crawford (9-8) vs #15 Haiden Drury (14-4)
Fresno State transfer Drury is on a three-match losing streak to top 20 wrestlers but has a glowing record with two ranked wins as well. If Crawford goes, then Drury is likely to challenge him physically. However, Crawford with time away from the scale could look much improved in this match. Last year Drury was 9-7 in a Big 12 conference schedule with a lot of wins and losses to the same guys. I think Crawford could threaten an upset here if he wrestles well, but Drury is going to make this match a fight and is more polished at this point.
Prediction: Drury Dec. Crawford 4-1 (MIZ 0 UVU 6)
