Pleasant Hill: Six out of the eight finalists crowned district champs, takes team title

Before the final matches had even begun on Saturday down in Seneca, eight Pleasant Hill Roosters punched their tickets to the state tournament with after winning their respective semifinal matchups. T

he Roosters finished the day adding another wrestler to their state team with Aiden Minor storming through the backside at 120 pounds, taking 3rd. 

Six out of the eight finalists went on to be crowned district champions.

Victor Schmalz took home his first district title as a freshman at 106 pounds after defeating Brock Arrowood of Osage on a 9-6 decision.

Also taking home district titles were Troy Gustin (138), Garrett Lyons (150), Lane Snyder (157), Brayden Bush (190), and Jacob Hanes (215). Rounding out the state team for Pleasant Hill are…
