The Fall Brawl Tournament is one of the biggest offseason tournaments every year.
The 2025 version featured girls wrestlers from the Midwest including Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas and so on, as it took place on Saturday at Staley High School.
Missouri girls fared well as there were two girls who won their brackets and several others who placed in the top six to earn a medal at the event.
Below is a breakdown of the top Missouri girls finishers in each weight bracket:
110: Lone Jack’s Lillian McCleary was in trouble in the champion match against Brielynn Jackson of Kearney. She was trailing 7-1, until she got a reversal and a pin in 3:13 as she earned her spot at the top of the podium.
“I just trusted myself and my conditioning, so I waited for my opponent to get tired and used that against her,” McCleary said. “I was on bottom and I flipped her over and got on top of her.”
115: Zaine Albadri of Kansas City took third place after losing her first match by fall to Erica Irvine of Iowa. But Albadri bounced back to win five matches, including the consolation finals as she pinned Kansas’ Olivia Gardner.
