COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri wrestling team has unveiled its 2024-25 schedule, featuring six home meets in Columbia. The Tigers, led by long-time Head Coach Brian Smith in his 27th season, will kick off the year with the annual Black and Gold scrimmage at the Hearnes Center on Oct. 25.
The season opener takes the Tigers to Greeley, Colorado, on Nov. 2 for a matchup against Northern Colorado. Shortly after, Mizzou returns home to host the third annual Tiger Style Invite on Nov. 9 at Staley High School in Kansas City, Missouri—home to senior standout Rocky Elam.
A challenging road stretch begins on Nov. 15 when Mizzou heads to Virginia Tech. The Tigers will then battle Illinois in Champaign on Nov. 21 before facing Northern Iowa in Hartland, Wisconsin, on Nov. 26. That dual will take place at Arrowhead High School, where Mizzou’s own Keegan O’Toole will wrestle in front of his hometown crowd in his senior season.
On Dec. 7, Mizzou will compete in the Cougar Clash in Edwardsville, Illinois, marking the team’s third consecutive appearance at the event. Later that month, the Tigers travel to Nashville for the Collegiate Duals on Dec. 21-22, where they’ll square off against teams like Ohio State, Iowa State, Penn State, and more at Ensworth Frist Campus.
Mizzou begins 2025 with a home match against Cornell on Jan. 3 at the Hearnes Center, followed by home contests against Stanford (Jan. 12), Utah Valley (Jan. 17), Arizona State (Jan. 22), and West Virginia (Jan. 26). February brings a trip to Oklahoma, where the Tigers will face the Sooners on Feb. 1 and Oklahoma State on Feb. 2.
Back in Columbia, Mizzou will host Iowa State on Feb. 22 to wrap up the regular season. The Big 12 Championships are set for March 8-9 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, while the NCAA Championships will take place March 20-22 in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center.
