Starting off this preview with the 149lbs weight class featuring two former Missouri high school wrestlers. Ohio also has Willard grad, Hunter Yeargan, who’s slated to wrestle 184.

#5 Brock Mauller (14-1) vs. #25 Alex Hagan (18-7)

Thoughts: This should be an entertaining match-up between two former Missouri high school standouts.

Mauller took an unexpected loss at the South Beach duals, but bounced back with two solid controlled victories on day two of that event.

Mauller has all the talent to be a buzzsaw and to be a national champion in March, but he needs to open up a bit on his feet.

Hagan is extremely positionally solid, stingy and is a solid scrambler.
