Now into the second half of the season, I wanted to take a look at how some of the wrestler’s that are redshirting. With the new freshmen competition rules, we’ve seen many compete frequently already this season. It’s also possible that we’ll see some of them in duals this season as opportunities come up.
Now in the second semester, they’ll be able to compete unattached in opens as well. Now while it’s named the redshirt report, I’ll highlight some of the backups that have interesting results or feel like they could play a role next season.
125: Preston Spray (0-0)
Spent the first part of the season recovering from injury. Just weighed in at UNI so is likely going to start getting matches soon. Still has all five starts.
125: Peyton Moore (6-6)
Most matches came in the Tiger Style Invite and the Lindenwood Open. Placed 4th in the Lindenwood Open’s freshman division. Started against West Virginia and Virginia Tech, going 1-1. Has five wins by bonus points. Still has one start left this season.
