With the 2024 season right around the corner, expectations are extremely high for the Missouri Tigers. They’ve finished in the top 10 for eight seasons in a row, including six seasons in the top six at NCAA’s. Despite that, they have only one team trophy in that time with a top four finish in 2015. They’re ranked #2 in the preseason, and have been picked as the preseason favorites to win the Big 12. With five All-Americans returning, the lineup has trophy potential but each starter has some questions coming into the year.
125lbs: Can Noah Surtin finally break through?
Since coming into the lineup for the 2021 postseason, Surtin has shown that he can wrestle with the best of them. Over the past two seasons he has a record of 39-16, and has multiple wins over All-Americans. He made the bloodround in 2022, but went 1-2 at last year’s NCAA’s. Coming into his fourth year as a starter, Surtin is a part of a large list of wrestlers that can make the podium at 125 and the Tigers could use his points along the way…
