After only having 1 day off from competition before diving right back into the fray, the Mexico Lady Bulldogs hosted their only home meet of the season, the 3rd Annual Brick City Classic.
Coach Senor worked hard in scheduling tougher teams than in years past to provide a postseason-like atmosphere for all the teams in attendance. There were plenty of ranked individual wrestlers (from both Class 1 and 2) scattered throughout most if not all the weight classes. Holden, currently ranked 8th as a team in Class 1, stood out as the team to beat throughout the day.
Highlights:
Out of the ten wrestlers the Mexico Lady Bulldogs had five of them medal by finishing in the top 3 in their respective brackets, with several others finishing just short in 4th place. Considering the level of competition throughout the day, Coach Senor was pleased with his wrestlers’ efforts over the past few days of competition, especially at their lone home meet of the year….
