King Takeover

Throughout the years we have seen many family legacies that have swept through Missouri wrestling. However, we haven’t seen anything quite like this. The King family has become a big-time Missouri wrestling name lately, both on the Missouri stage and even on the national stage. One might think about brothers taking over like the Valdiviezs’, Coxs’, and Saxs’ for example.

This situation is even more unique, as it’s a triple threat that isn’t just a group of brothers. This wrestling family includes Sabrina, Alyssa, and Colton King. They come from their father’s club, King Select Wrestling Academy. They all have ascended to #1 rankings in our Missouri wrestling rankings and all 3 look to win a state title this year.

As if it wasn’t hard enough for Sabrina King to be the middle child, she has also been a big name in women’s wrestling for quite some time. A former native from Illinois, King dominated the women’s circuit from a young age. She was a state champ in Illinois as a freshman, and a respective 3rd place finisher her sophomore year.

When asked about what keeps her motivated, Sabrina answered: “I want to be great at everything I do and I love the sport of wrestling. I also love helping the younger generation at King Select Wrestling Academy.”
