Missouri wrestling welcomes a powerhouse freshman class that’s already making waves nationally.
Missouri’s boys wrestling scene is gearing up for an exciting new era as a wave of nationally ranked talent prepares to enter high school. With the graduation of standouts who helped shape the state’s recent success, the spotlight now shifts to a freshman class that could be one of the deepest in years. Even as returning stars continue to headline Missouri’s mats, this incoming group has already compiled national accolades, youth state championships, and tournament wins. The following nine freshmen are expected make an immediate impact and elevate the level of competition across the state.
Impact wrestlers expected to make noise:
- Kage Stewart – Carl Junction HS
- Dominic Marchack – Hickman HS
- Alex Hall – St. Pius X HS
- Maysen Perkins – Kearney HS
- Brock Conaway – Camdenton HS
- William Been – Lafayette (Wildwood) HS
- Crus Enderle – St Pius X HS
- James Lauf – Helias Catholic HS
Let’s get into the details:
Kage Stewart – Carl Junction HS
Kage Stewart might be the most anticipated heavyweight prospect to come through Missouri since Dom Bradley’s days at Blue Springs. His combination of raw athleticism and aggression is appealing to both wrestling and football fans alike.
If he chooses to stick with wrestling, he has the potential to become a multiple-time state champion, and a top Division I recruit. Stewart and 165-pound 14U Missouri state champion Tristyn Lopez will add firepower to a Carl Junction High School team that finished #9 in Class 3 last season.
