#3 Mizzou (0-0) vs Lindenwood (0-0)
All Time Record vs: 8-0
With Lindenwood on the path to Division I, it looks like the Tigers could be looking at the start of a new in-state rivalry. Lindenwood finished 34th in Division II last season and had a 5-3 dual record. In 2021 they were more competitive with a 7-1 dual record and a 3rd place finish. The team graduated three starters, including two All-Americans. Their most established starter is Gavin Londoff at 149lbs, who is a two-time All-American, placing 3rd twice at 149lbs. They also have Tanner Hitchcock at 133lbs who placed 7th in 2021 but went 0-2 last season. Mizzou is likely to not wrestle all their starters, so this could be an opportunity for some true freshmen to get a chance to start.
Noah Surtin and Rocky Elam didn’t participate in wrestle offs last week, and Mizzou has a couple options at those weights if they are unable to go. While this inaugural in-state dual does not feature any ranked matchups, there are still things for Tiger fans to look out for.
