Dear Drury Wrestling Supporter,
As we head into the final weeks of summer and look forward to our grapplers getting back to campus we continue to celebrate the success form the 2020-21 school year.
Last week 152 Drury student-athletes earned Academic Achievement Awards form the NCAA DII Athletic Directors Association. Eight wrestlers were among the student-athletes recognized. The Academic Achievement Award requirements are that the student-athlete maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, have completed two years of college work and have been active in their sport during the past year.
Among the group are two recent graduated seniors and an additional six wrestlers who are returning for the 2021-22 academic year. Graduated seniors Cody Curnutt and Jared Rennick received the award and continue to impress even after their time as a panther.
The returning grapplers making the list include returning juniors Tucker Caswell, Chris Hansen, Peter Kuster and Riley McCall along with sophomores Teddy Hickey and Joe Chavez.
