Day One Wonder Woman: Mexico Lady Bulldogs

Christmas time is over and New Year’s is right around the corner. Before heading into 2022, the Mexico Lady Bulldogs will be heading to the largest tournament for girls outside of the state tournament, the Wonder Woman Girls’ Wrestling Tournament.

A total of 75 teams are scheduled to compete, including teams from Oklahoma, Iowa, and Illinois. Along with those non-Missouri schools, Mexico will see close to half of their District Tournament competition (24 of the 52 teams) including NCMC opponents, Fulton and Kirksville.

Coach Senor is viewing this tournament as a solid barometer for how his team will do when it comes to the post-season. In years past, the Wonder Woman tournament has been a very solid projection on how the ladies would end up across the state. Each
