Class 2: State Tournament Predictions

Class Two State Wrestling Preview
By: Sean Mael

Overall Thoughts: Pleasant Hill has a really strong team this season. I have them winning the team race going away. I have Seneca taking second, Odessa third and I like Excelsior Springs to round out the podium in Class 2. All rankings utilized in this article are courtesy of Flowrestling, and Missouriwrestling.com.

No disrespect is ever intended to anyone and I hope everyone proves me wrong. Thanks for reading!

Notable First Round Matches (Team Race or Ranked vs. Ranked:
#4 Kynndrick Brooks, Nevada vs. #5 Gage Gross, St. Genevieve

Notable Potential Quarters:
#2 Ryan Meek, St. Clair vs. #6 Easton Demilia, Blair Oaks #3 Michael Martin, Owensville vs. Gage Schottel, Savannah Thoughts: #1 Brady Roark, Seneca was a state runner-up at this weight as a freshman last season. Ryan Meek placed fourth at this weight class last season as a freshman. Brady Roark is ranked third in Flowrestlng’s All Class rankings, whereas Ryan Meek checks in at sixth in the same set.

Our first quarter will consist of #2 Ryan Meek vs. #6 Easton Demilia. Meek is undefeated on the season and has been extremely dominant. I like him to move on to the semis. Our next quarter will feature #1 Brady Roark. He is a big favorite and I have him moving into the semis.

The semi between #1 Roark and #2 Meek is a highly anticipated one. Roark defeated Meek 7-0 in the state semifinals last season. I have Roark winning a controlled decision here and moving into the state finals.
