Another year and another time the Lebanon girls wrestling team is on its way to winning yet another state championship.
The Yellowjackets are looking to win their third state championship in a row as a team and the fourth one in the last five years. They are in prime position to do just that.
After Day 1 of the Missouri State High School Girls Wrestling Championships Friday at Mizzou Arena in Columbis, Lebanon leads the pack with 65 points. Marquette is in second place with 52 points, Nixa is third with 51 and Washington is fourth with 47.

On Friday, the tournament had the first round and quarterfinals completed and two rounds of wrestle backs. On Saturday, the tournament will conclude with the remaining consolation matches, the semifinals and the championship bouts.
