Something was off with the Pleasant Hill wrestling team on Day 1 of the Class 2 Missouri State High School Wrestling Championships.
The Roosters trailed both Mid-Buchanan and Odessa going into Day 2 on Thursday at Mizzou Arena at the University of Missouri. Jeff Wyatt put the reason for the slow start on himself.
“Yesterday I got caught up in the schedule and we didn’t do the things that we normally do,” Wyatt said. “We got out of our routine a big and ran the boys and girls on the same day. We really didn’t focus on what was important, but we did that today. The boys led the charge.”
