With Mid-Buchanan, winners of the last two Class 1 state championships, moving to Class 2, that opened the door for Centralia.
The Panthers finished second to Mid-Buch the past couple of season, but with the Dragons now out of the way, it was Centralia’s time to strike on Day 2 of the Class 1 State High School Wrestling Championships Thursday at Mizzou Arena at the University of Missouri.

- Undefeated Senior State Champ: Brendin Patrick, Butler
- Undefeated Senior State Champ: Brayden Shelton, Centralia
- Senior State Champ: Sam Gibson, Trenton
- Undefeated Senior State Champ: Seth Hasekamp, Centralia
Centralia ran away with the team title scoring 194.5 point to take home the first-place plaque. Brookfield was second with 135 points, St. Pius X (Kansas City) was third with 131.5 points and Father Tolton Catholic of Columbia was fourth with 92. Maysville was just on the outside looking in with 90.5 points.
The Panthers had three state champions including Brayden Dubes (120), Brayden Shelton (165) and Seth Hasekamp (285). Other Centralia wrestlers to get a medal were Bryson Dubes (106, third), Weston Ward (126, second), Jesse Shannon (132, fourth), Rex Bryson (138, second) and Kyden Wilkerson (157, third)
