Belton wrestlers like senior Brady Littleton think the Pirates can make some noise this season.
His team showed why in Thursday’s dual against Kearney, the No. 9 ranked team according to MissouriWrestling.com. No. 3-ranked Belton won nine out of the 14 weight classes in the non-conference dual as the Pirates won 42-27 at Kearney High School.

“Our senior class is really good this year, we are going to do some great things,” senior Brady Littleton said. “We’re quite there yet, but with a little more conditioning and a little more technical stuff, we might bring home a state championship.
Belton senior Zach Attebury took it a step further with the confidence in his team.
“100 percent,” Belton senior Zach Attebury said. “I think we can win it all.”
Littleton was one of the Pirates to win his match as he pinned Kearney’s Tye Mills with a quick takedown (150 pounds) in the second half and a pin in 2:09 to jump ahead 16-6 at the time.
