COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou wrestling and the Tiger Style Wrestling Club are sending a representative to the U23 Freestyle World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, starting Friday, Oct. 16. Mizzou All-American Aeoden Sinclair will represent the United States at 86kg.
Sinclair recently claimed freestyle gold at the U20 World Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, on Aug. 21, becoming the first U20 Champion for Mizzou since Keegan O’Toole (74kg) and Rocky Elam (92kg) in 2021.
The All-American defeated four impressive wrestlers from four different countries on his path to clinching the gold medal at 86kg. In his final, Sinclair scored eight unanswered points to come back from an early 4-0 deficit and claim his 8-4 win over Akhmad Mukutov (Russia).
Beginning on Friday, Sinclair will face a new field of highly competitive wrestlers as he begins his pursuit of the U23 podium and another gold medal finish.
With Sinclair’s win at the U20 World Championships in August, he has a chance to become the only Mizzou wrestler to win both U20 and U23 World Titles in the same year.
HOW TO WATCH
The entirety of the 2026 U23 World Championships can be streamed with a FloWrestling subscription. Sinclair’s schedule can be found below.
