The 2026 Fall Brawl Tournament gave girls wrestlers from Missouri an opportunity to get some work in when preparing for bigger tournaments this fall.
Some were getting some work in before the high school folkstyle season while others were getting ready for some big folkstyle wrestling tournaments like the Super 32 Challenge and Preseason Nationals.
Sunday’s Fall Brawl Tournament at Staley High School in Kansas City, drew competitors from all around the Midwest including Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arkansas and Nebraska and Oklahoma.
Below is a breakdown of how the top placers from Missouri fared in each weight division in the tournament:
110: St. Pius X’s Farynn Rhees pinned Oklahoma’s Peyton McElfresh in the semifinals and won by fall in the third period against Nebraska’s Aubrey Johnson in the championship match, earning her spot at the top of the podium.
115: Warrensburg’s Kendra Oswald finished with a 2-2 record and took fourth following a pinfall loss to Nebraska’s Madalyn Andersen in the consolation finals.

125: Lone Jack’s Lilly McCleary pinned her first three opponents in less than a minute before earning a 11-6 decision against Arkansas’ Madelyn Medrano in the championship match.
130: North Kansas City’s Temperance Lowe won her first three matches including a 3-0 win over Arkansas’ Melanie Medrano in the semifinals setting up a championship match with Oklahoma’s Ranelle Smith, where she fell 8-7 in overtime to finish as the runner-up.

*Includes a forfeit or medical forfeit. Marfileno won one by forfeit and Brown lost one. Finney and Zeciri each won one by medical forfeit, both over Jordan.
The 100, 140, 155 and 170 brackets had no 5th-place match, so those placements aren’t in the file.
