MILWAUKEE — Missouri’s Junior boys squads closed out the 2026 USA Wrestling Junior National Duals at the Baird Center this week with one of the most dominant individual runs of the entire event and four All-Tournament Team selections in men’s freestyle.
The headliner was Carter Brown at 215 pounds, who did not lose a single match in either style. Brown went 10-0 in Greco-Roman and 9-0 in freestyle — a perfect 19-0 across the week — and won every one of those 19 bouts by bonus. He recorded eight falls and 11 technical falls, never settling for a decision, and pinned opponents in seven and eight seconds in back-to-back Greco duals against Wyoming and Kansas. Most of his tech falls were shutouts.
Freestyle: four undefeated, a runner-up bracket finish
Team Missouri’s freestyle squad was the stronger of the two entries, climbing out of a fifth-place pool finish to take second place in the Blue/Red placement bracket.
Four Missouri wrestlers went unbeaten and earned spots on the men’s freestyle All-Tournament Team, announced by USA Wrestling following Friday and Saturday’s competition:
- Rowdy Angst (113), 9-0 — six tech falls, two falls and a decision. Six of his wins were 10-0 or 11-0 shutouts.
- Roman Stewart (150), 9-0 — four tech falls, two falls, a decision and two forfeits.
- Jet Brown (157), 9-0 — five tech falls and three falls, including a 0:30 pin against Oregon.
- Carter Brown (215), 9-0 — five falls and four tech falls.
Just outside the All-Tournament cut, Kaison Schreier (126) went 8-1 with every single win coming by technical fall — eight techs in eight victories. Tristan Waters (190) added a 7-2 mark.
