Missouri Wrestlers Claim Titles and Podium Finishes at 2026 Folkstyle Nationals

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – The 2026 USA Wrestling 16U and Junior Folkstyle Nationals concluded this weekend at The MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex, and Missouri athletes made a massive impact. From securing national championships to filling up the podiums, local wrestlers proved their strength on the national stage.

Here is a breakdown of Missouri’s top finishers from the weekend.

Lindquist Completes the Double

Max “Baby Hands” Lindquist (Xtreme Training) put together a flawless tournament. After dominating the Junior Boys 100-pound division, Lindquist returned to the mat to capture the 16U Boys 100-pound title as well, sealing a rare and highly impressive double-championship weekend.

Rogers Claims the 16U Title

Mabel Rogers (Rogue Warrior Wrestling) brought home a national championship of her own, capturing first place in the 16U Girls 110-pound division. This victory rounds out an incredible season that started with a championship win at Preseason Nationals (with a win over Jayden Keller), continued through an undefeated freshman high school season and a first-place finish at state, and is now closing out with this championship win at Folkstyle Nationals.

Thomas Takes Gold

Noah Thomas (Xtreme Training) also secured a national title, taking first place in the 16U Boys 113-pound division to add to the state’s impressive gold medal count.
