For much of the season, it seemed like a down year for Odessa.
However, the Bulldogs came through when it mattered most.

The Bulldogs secured their third straight state title after scoring 130.5 points Thursday at Mizzou Arena in Columbia in the Class 2 Missouri State High School Boys Wrestling Championships.
Seneca finished second with 127.5 points, Mexico was third with 121 and Savannah took fourth with 108.5.
Odessa saw Makai Smalley and Jet Brown win individual championships, and Michael Scott (second place), Lake Waters (third) and Kamden Hooper (third) Hooper place in the top six of their respective weight brackets to earn a state medal.

106: Oak Grove junior Kale Martin had a banner season in the 2025-26 season. He finished his season undefeated at 46-0 and won his first state title after a 8-4 win over previously unbeaten Mexico freshman Trevor Cole.

126: Father Tolton Catholic senior Christopher Ankenman is now a four-time state champion, a rare feat. He edged Ste. Genevieve junior Brody Winters 5-3 thanks to a near fall with 48 seconds left in the match.
