We are excited to unveil our most comprehensive rankings update yet. For this round, we have expanded our data processing to publish the Top 50 wrestlers per weight class. Our goal is simple: to provide the most objective and complete picture of the Missouri wrestling landscape available anywhere.
How do we determine rank? We use a purely mathematical approach. Every match result in the state is fed into our algorithm, which calculates a “Power Score” based on the quality of competition. A win over a highly-rated opponent boosts a score significantly more than a standard victory. This ensures that wrestlers who seek out tough competition are rewarded, providing a fair assessment that looks beyond simple win-loss records.
