Missouri doesn’t just produce wrestlers— it produces legends. The Show-Me State has quietly built one of the most respected traditions in the country. From packed high school gyms on winter nights to Mizzou’s rise as a national powerhouse, Missouri wrestlers have proven time and again that they can compete and win on the biggest stages.
The state has produced undefeated high school greats, NCAA champions, and Olympic medalists, with names that every Missouri fan knows by heart. This list isn’t just about statistics. It’s about wrestlers who inspired generations, elevated the sport, and put Missouri firmly on the wrestling map.
#5: Jaydin Eierman
Jaydin Eierman concluded his high school career at Father Tolton Regional Catholic with a flawless 158-0 record, becoming only the second undefeated four-time state champion in Missouri history (joining Scott Schatzman). Remarkably, 148 of those wins came by pin or technical fall.
At the college level, Eierman became a three-time All-American and MAC champion for Missouri before transferring to Iowa, where he reached the NCAA finals in 2021. In freestyle, he added a U.S. Open title, a Pan American Games medal, and a U23 National Championship to his résumé.
