It was a solid recruiting season for both Blue Jay wrestling squads to help fill in some gaps to build on last season’s success. The coaches talk about how these two teams are a family. They practice in the same facility, working together all the while encouraging each other—a family.
Each season since the wrestling program has been revitalized, the coaching staff has done an excellent job in boosting their numbers in each of the subsequent years. This year’s incoming freshman class is not only of considerable size in terms of quantity of people but also some freshmen could make an impact in their starting lineup during this season. However, it won’t be just the freshmen who want to leave their mark this year. There are several returning upperclassmen on both teams who are capable of showing what they’re capable of this season.
