#24 Connor Brown (4-2) vs. Lucian Brink (2-1)

Thoughts:

This match is a bit of a mismatch. Brink is solid and is not a small 125 as he competed the past two seasons up at 133. These two have one common opponent this season in #5 Drew Hildebrandt of CMU. Hildebrandt defeated Brown 7-5 in SV1 and teched Brink 17-2. Brown is tough on top and will exploit Brink’s bottom game deficiencies against top tier 125-pound wrestlers here. I think that Brown will get to his offense early off a slide-by or a low level single and will extend the gap quite a bit in this one. I like Brown to work his way to a technical fall win here over a solid, but overmatched Brink. Brown will not be seriously tested here and will stake the Tigers to an early lead.

Prediction:

Brown Tech. Brink 18-3 (MIZZ 5-0)
