7 Entered, 7 Gold Medals: Troy Girls Wrestling Pulls Off the Impossible at GACs

Talk about efficiency.

The Troy Girls Wrestling team walked into the GAC Tournament at Francis Howell with a lean roster, entering wrestlers in only seven weight classes. They walked out with a 100% success rate.

In a stunning display of dominance, all seven Troy wrestlers captured individual championships. Despite having less than half a full roster, the Trojans racked up 190.5 points, finishing a close 2nd place—just 7.5 points behind a deep Francis Howell Central team that fielded a full lineup.

The “Perfect 7” Champions:

• 100: Isabella Cullen (won by Fall)
• 110: Addilynn Amos (won by Tech Fall)
• 115: Haddley Dale (won by Fall)
• 140: Hayden Scorfina (won by dec)
• 145: Sierra Bromwich (won by Major Decision)
• 155: Molly Marischen (won by Default)
• 235: Jeralyn Spear (won by Fall)

Total Domination Perhaps even more impressive than the medal count was the defense. Addi Amos, Molly Marischen, and Jeralyn Spear did not allow a single point to be scored on them throughout the entire tournament.

Additionally, Sierra Bromwich provided the spark of the day. Entering as a No. 3 seed, she battled through the bracket to claim the title at 145 via major decision.

While FHC took the team title with numbers, Troy proved that quality beats quantity every time.
