Ozark placed five in the finals of Class 4 District 3 and advanced eight to the Class 4 Missouri State Wrestling Championships a season ago. The totals were good enough to take the Tigers to a team district title, easily outdistancing second-place Waynesville and Lebanon, but the success didn’t translate in the year’s final tournament.

At state, Ozark medaled only two, including state runner-up Jace Gorn at 285 pounds, and the Tigers ended up 13th overall. Gorn, sixth-place medalist Ryan Taylor and Nickolas Gladkov were among the seniors lost, and they were three of the team’s four District 3 individual champions, as well.

That leaves a youthful roster to fill some glaring holes.
