Waynesville looking for repeat top-10 performance in Class 4

There were nine total qualifiers a year ago, and even though the majority went into the Class 4 Missouri State Wrestling Championships with a four-seed, the Tigers came away with good results. They ended up 10th in the final standings behind a trio of state medalists that included undefeated state champion Sean Sax (138).

While the top finisher graduated, Gaven Sax (fifth as a sophomore at 132) will be a returning junior and Michael Cassidy will be back after placing fourth at 145 as a junior and second-time qualifier.

Meanwhile, the Tigers will also have seniors Daniel Albrecht and Andrew Lietold back after they were fourth-place finishers in Class 4 District 3 to reach state.
