Park Hill wins dual over Staley 38-30

KANSAS CITY – Last season, Park Hill had its four-year run as state champs snapped by Staley.

After an 10-month wait, the Trojans finally had their revenge. Despite wrestling without two big guns, Park Hill (the No. 1-ranked team in the state and ranked No. 21 in the country by InterMat) claimed a 38-30 bragging-rights victory in a head-to-head showdown with the Falcons (ranked No. 5 in the state) at the their home nest at Staley High School.

“That doesn’t even come into play,” Park Hill head coach Jeff Davis insisted. “We’re not thinking about last year. Our kids just want to win.”
