Kansas City Stampede Recap

I really enjoy this tournament every season. It is a lot tougher than the individual state tournaments in the state of Missouri and placing top eight in this field tends to portend well for those hoping to be state medalists at seasons end.

Jordan Williams (Collinsville)
Jackson Bond (Baylor)
Easton Hilton (Liberty)
Eli Ashcroft (Kearney)
Ashton Grounds (Tuttle)
Gabe Valencia (Perry)
Dayne Dalrymple (Christian Brothers)
Devin Haag (Seckman)

Thoughts: This was a really fun weight. Strong showings by Hilton and Ashcroft validating their #2 and #1 respective rankings in their class. Both wrestled really well. Williams from Collinsville was the class of the field here, but look for Hilton and Ashcroft to do some damage this season in class 4 and 3 respectively. Haag had a really solid tournament as well.

113

#15 at 120 Jeremiah Reno (Liberty)
Jason Henschel (Goddard)
Logan Ashton (Buford)
Trey Bates (Baylor)
Ryan Smith (Perry)
Logan Ferraro (Whitfield)
Ezekiel Ramirez (Randall)
Garrett Strickland (Collinsville)

Thoughts: Reno was very impressive throughout here. He was never really in any danger against a very game Bates in the semis and he dominated Henschel in his final. Really complete effort by him.
