Drury Wrestling picking up W’s at Dan Harris Open

Drury Wrestling traveled to Baldwin City, Kansas over the weekend to compete in the Dan Harris Open. The tournament featured 182 wrestlers from 13 teams with multiple ranked wrestlers. Drury came away with 7 placers including two champions and 2 runner-ups. Senior John Oss (184 lbs) and Redshirt Freshman Jacob Brune (174 lbs) both went 4-0 on the day claiming tournament championships at their respective weight classes.

Drury entered 22 wrestlers in the tournament and went 48-33 as a team while racking up 16 falls as a team. Complete results can be found online at DruryPanthers.com.

This next weekend Drury hits the road again as the Panthers travel to St. Louis for the Maryville Kaufman/Brand Open. The tournament features two divisions and over 250 wrestlers. The Amateur brackets features some really good young talent competing amongst a majority of Freshman and Sophomores. The Elite brackets features many accomplished veterans wrestling against a majority of Juniors and Seniors. The tournament is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and is hosted by Maryville University on the Campus of Westminster Christian Academy. You can follow the tournament via Trackwrestling.
